16.11.2017 International Forum focused on Kazakhstan

Forum Kazakhstan

The Federal Association of German Silk Road Initiative (BVDSI), based in the Free and Hanseatic City of Bremen, is organizing an international forum for the 13th of November this year, focusing on Kazakhstan. As part of this forum, the German small and medium-sized economy, a driving factor of German innovation and investment capacity, will meet and get to know the projects, plans and contacts of the Republic of Kazakhstan. “We welcome this forum very much and therefore plan to bring a high-caliber delegation to Bremen,” said Ambassador Bolat Nussupov.

The newly founded Federal Association BVDSI eV (www.bvdsi.eu), which has set itself the task of being the competence center for the interests of the German economy to participate in the value creation potentials of the New Silk Road, is for the first time taking the initiative to open up new economic prospects for Kazakhstan and Germany. “We are planning a close cooperation with the Chinese Initiative “One Belt, One Road”, and not a counter-movement.” German know-how and German innovations are in demand, both by the Chinese and by the economies along the New Silk Road. This has to be coordinated and channeled for the benefit of all,” said Hans v. Helldorff, spokesman of BVDSI. A lively participation is expected from the German economy and a number of high-profile representatives from German politics have already registered for the Forum. The invitations will be sent out shortly. Online registration will be available in the near future.
